The state is also renowned for its vibrant performance culture where indigenous folk dances and local music styles have sustained through years of external influence and emerged victorious. You can attend performances on the different local dance forms and music forms and absorb the real culture and customs of the region. Another tradition that is closely linked to the history of Rajasthan is that of puppetry. Katputhli, as it is known in the local language, is the magical art of storytelling through puppetry. The Katputhli performances are acclaimed and applauded the world over and have become a rage in international circles- so much so that artists and performers from small towns are being invited to international forums to showcase their skills and also lecture about them.
