Positioned on the bank of the Godavari River, the town of Nasik is an ideal blend of the old & new, the holy & the most exciting experiences. Home to wonderful temples & the popular Kumbha Mela, the town is the pilgrimage hub of the Hindus. Steeped in rich cultural inheritance, this town got its name from the huge epic - Ramayana. The city is India's top wine growing region, which gives birth to a very nice wine - tourism industry.


How to reach there

The railway station is about 9 km away from the city centre of the town. This station is directly connected from Nasik to Mumbai. Regular train services are available from Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad. Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International airport is the nearest airport. The town is well linked to all neighbouring cities by Government owned buses. The road route between Nasik to Mumbai is well developed.

Luxury hotels have a variety of high end amenities such as Wi-Fi internet and swimming pool etc. A majority of the hotels is situated near the old Agra road and are normally very close to the Godavari River and hence offer easy access to all the tourist destinations.


Best places to see

Best places to see in the town are Panchavati, Pandav Leni caves, Ganga Ghat, Dudhsagar Falls, Jain Mandir, Rankund, Kalaram Temple, Kapileshwar Temple etc. The best time to visit the town is in the months between March & October and pre -booking is advisable. The climate in the town is mild, so booking an AC room in Nasik Hotels is not compulsory, unless you are planning your trip during hot summer months.
