Different Means Of Travel From Delhi To Jaipur

Delhi, situated on the banks of River Yamuna, is the second most populous metropolis in India after Mumbai and it includes New Delhi the national capital. Delhi is a Union Territory with its own legislature, Council of ministers and Chief Minister. Delhi houses many ancient and medieval monuments and archeological remnants and it offers a multitude of interesting places and attractions to the visitor. Among the places of special interest are Red Fort, Qutab Minar, Old Fort, Humayun's Tomb, Juma Masjid, Lotus Temple, Jantar Mantar, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Teenmurti Bhavan and India Gate. Markets like Karol bagh, Connaught Place, Chandni Chowk and Palika Bazar are worth visiting. Delhi is charecterised by extreme climates of hot summers and chilly winters.
Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan. Also known as the pink city of India, Jaipur is named after its founder Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh of 18th century. It is an extremely famous tourist destination in India apart from being a hub for traditional and modern industries. Jaipur is well-connected to the rest of the country by road, rail and air. Jaipur is at a driving distance of 265 km from Delhi and it takes around 5 hrs to reach Jaipur from Delhi through NH8 and NH12. The route is Delhi – 37 km => Gurgaon – 108 km => Behror – 70 km => Shahpura – 45 km => Amer – 10 km => Jaipur. There are several petrol pumps and eateries all along the route at your convenience. RSRTC owned hotel at Behror (midway between Delhi and Jaipur) offers clean facility for your toilet and snack needs.
State-run buses from Delhi start from both ISBT as well as Bikaner House near India Gate. Deluxe buses are also available and the tickets cost you around Rs 600 to Rs 800. You can also book taxis from Delhi which will cost anywhere from Rs 5000 to Rs 6000 for a round trip.
Trains to Jaipur depart from 3 stations in Delhi: Delhi, New Delhi and Sarai Rohilla stations. Numerous daily trains are available including New Delhi-Ahmedabad Rajadhani and New Delhi-Ajmer Shatabdi express. Journey time is around 5 hrs. The recently launched premium double decker express starting from Sarai Rohilla station in Delhi departs from Delhi at 5.35 pm and arrives at Jaipur at 10.05 pm. Regular flights operate between Delhi and Jaipur and the flight duration is around 1 hr. Hotel Sun international Delhi and Rani Mahal Jaipur always available for customer’s delight.
