#1 Diet Myth: Some will have you believe that you do not need to consume carbohydrates in your weight loss diet and yet still be healthy without them. Not true. Carbohydrates are your bodies energy fuel supplier. Without carbohydrates, your body cannot produce energy for you to function.

... carbs from your diet will reduce your cravings for carbs. Actually, carbohydrates are needed nutrients. Without carbs your body will acquire the energy it needs through proteins and fat, thus causing carbohydrate cravings.

#3 Diet Myth: There are weight loss gurus out there that will convince you that a low carb no carb diet is a diet you can use throughout your entire life. Look, you can not deprive your body of carbohydrates. It is a major nutrient needed for your body to function properly. Maintaining a diet of this type will eventually cause your body to become worn out from working harder trying to make up for the deficit of carbs.

A body on the brink of depletion in carbs will naturally crave more carbs. Let me explain what happens: Your body becomes deficient in carbs, your body craves carbs. You break down and start back to your old eating habits, You start gaining back any excess weight you may have lost on your now ill fated diet. Does the term yo-yo diet come to mind.

Yes, I do agree that you need to watch the amount of carb you consume when starting a diet. Just remember carbohydrates are a needed nutrient for your body to function properly. Learn to diet right and you will have a diet for life.
