The heart attack is an ongoing, active incident. It is not like a thing that begins and ends within a few minutes. You can control or limit the damage to your heart and overall body in course of this incident by taking some immediate measures after the start of the heart attack. Seeking emergency services is one measure. Providing aspirin is the second step. Paramedics will instantly arrive. They will provide oxygen and medication. They will also monitor the blood pressure and rhythm of the heart to lessen the heart attack complications. In fact, they will take one to the emergency room of the nearest hospital.

Once the patient is taken to the emergency room, doctors and nurses will perform hurriedly an ECG and blood tests to refute or confirm a heart attack diagnosis. If you are affected with the heart attack, the heart attack specialist will obviously try to open the artery, which is blocked, with a stent, angioplasty, or a drug. Aspirin has been proved to hinder platelets. Platelets are microscopic blood cells which our body uses, to accelerate blood clotting. When some part of our body is cut, blood begins to flow ...
... from that place. But, within a few moments, platelets reach there and help the blood to clot. But if aspirin is applied then the movement of the platelets will be hindered, and the blood will continue to flow.

In case of heart attack, you do not, of course, wish the blood to clot. The reason in most of these cases of heart attacks is the deposition of plaque in the coronary artery. Due to this plague a rupture is caused in arteries. Then the platelets rush there to clot the blood inside the coronary artery. The platelets hurry to perform the task of blood clotting, as they do in a cut finger. With the passing of minutes this clot increases in dimension. It increases until it totally blocks the artery. Blood can no more flow to the various parts of the heart supplied by that artery. Blood can no more supply oxygen to the heart. Without oxygen, that particular part of the heart moves towards death. This way the heart attack completes its course.

There are some signs to be found to ascertain that someone is having a heart attack. Angina is a state when a painful burning and squeezing of chest are felt. You should report your doctor immediately whenever you experience angina. The doctor may prescribe nitroglycerin tablets, which normally broaden the blood vessels, helping more blood to reach the muscles of the heart. Other typical warning symptoms and signs are chest pain, tightness which spreads to the left arm and shoulder, sweating, shortness of breath, nausea, and weakness, headache, and dizziness.

When you are rushed to the hospital with a heart attack, you will be subjected to undergo a good number of various medical tests. The heart monitor displays the pulse rate, electrocardiogram (ECG) records and measures the electrical activity of the heart. The blood oxygen level, too, can be measured with a sensor which is attached to the finger or ear. In fact, not all hospitals have such infrastructure. But the heart disease treatment in Singapore has assumed new face due to the contribution of Dr Lim.

Dr Lim’s clinic is a renowned place for heart attack treatment. This has brought the heart disease treatment in Singapore to a new height.
