A pregnant woman is like a vessel of oil full to the brim. Just as
a vessel needs to be taken with absolute care with careful handling ;
similarly I should carry myself from one place to another with utmost
care. Pregnancy is very unique and precious.

Development of baby :
When
there is cohabitation of man having undamaged sperm and woman having
undamaged genital tract, ovum and uterus during the rutukal (opportune
period) and consequently the conscious (self ) impelled by mind descends
into the zygote situated in the uterus, the embryo is formed. It grows with the utilisation of suitable nourishment and managed properly, devoid of abnormality. The combination of sperm, ovum and life-principle implanted in the womb is known as embryo (Garbha).

Signs and symptoms of pregnancy:
Signs and symptoms of pregnancy of pregnancy are ; Missed period Following signs and symptoms appear after conception : Salivation Heaviness Malaise Drowsiness Distress in heart region Yawning Sour taste in the mouth Heaviness in breast Darkening of areola Swelling ...
... of feet Loss of appetite
These are the symptoms of the conception which has just taken place.
 1st month development:
The sperms are deposited in the vagina during coitus. These sperms reach the fallopian tubes through the cervix. Only one sperm enters the mother's egg. This is called a zygote. The zygote has the genetic information to become a baby who comes from its mother and father. The zygote takes couple of days to reach down to fallopian tube to form a sphere of cells called blastocyst. The blastocyst implants into the uterine wall on about day 6. The blastocyst receives nourishment via the mother's bloodstream.

Diet in 1st month:
When
pregnancy is first suspected, during this period small quantities of
boiled milk which is cooled should be sipped throughout the day. Garbhakranti Diet should be consumed for proper growth of the dream baby.

umbilical cord is connected to the umbilicus of the foetus at one end
and the other end is attached to the uterus of mother. Placenta which carries nourishment to baby from mother is developed during this phase of third month of pregnancy. The
foetus attains the free flow of consciousness in it`s mind at the very
time when the sense organs are manifested; hence then onwards the foetus
pulsates and expresses the desire. Foetus heart which is
maternally derived gets connected with the mother's heart through
vessels carrying nutrition; hence the desire is transmitted. Due to this reason it is not desirable to ignore the desires of foetus expressed through mother. Garbhakranti Diet should be consumed for proper growth of the dream baby.

During the fourth month, the foetus attains stability and as such the pregnant woman feels particular heaviness in the body. All the body parts are well defined. 8th month development:
During
the eighth month, the foetus and the mother exchange Ojas mutually now
and again through nutrient carrying vessels because of the immaturity of
the foetus; hence during this period, the pregnant woman sometimes
becomes excited and sometimes feels low. Rhythmic breathing movements occur, but the lungs are not fully mature. The bones are fully developed .
