An example of a historical footage you may want to request online is the footage of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The Berlin wall was a physical barrier that separated East Germany from West Germany. Its main purpose was to prevent the residents of East Germany from fleeing to West Germany. After World War Two, two main groups occupied Germany. These two groups consisted of four countries namely Great Britain, USA, France and the Soviet Union. Britain, the USA and France formed the allied powers. Over time the two groups could became aggressive towards each other especially due to a difference in economic and political policies.
The allied powers were democratic while the Soviet Union was Communist. Eventually, people from the east which was occupied by the Soviet Union became oppressed and faced tough times prompting mass exoduses to the west. The wall was built to put a stop to these emigrations. The wall however came down in 1989 amid much celebration all over the world. The footage on the fall of the Berlin Wall clearly shows the events of this historic day. In general historical high definition footage reminds us of key historical events and keeps history alive.
