When we check out a digital scale we are keen to know whether it will perform accurately and reliably for a long time. And we will assure ourselves of the quality of the load cell used because that is at the heart of delivering an accurate and reliable performance. For durability too the quality of the load cell is important but for durability there are other important factors as well. This is because a scale can fail even if the load cells are performing satisfactorily.

Of course one is concerned about the quality of the load cell because with each weighing they undergo a stress strain cycle and if the quality is not good in the long run fatigue will creep in.
