The tomb was built by Hamida Banu Begum, Humayun’s wife. It was designed by Persian Architect, Mirak Mirza Ghiyath and was completed in 1562 AD. Its proximity to Nizamuddin Dargah and Purana Quila makes it a must visit attraction for those booking flights to Delhi.
Whilst taking a closer look at the architecture of the tomb, you would come across incredible unification of Persian and Central Asian styles of Islamic architecture. Other monuments that are located within the same premises are Barber’s Tomb, Tomb and Mosque of Isa Khan, Nila Gumbad, and Arab Sarai.
