Why Men Buy Wrinkle Cream

It is now a known fact that men are purchasing quite a bit more wrinkle cream. There are many different views as to what accounts for the recent increase in male purchases. Whether it is the scientific developments of the industry or other external factors, the question still remains. What is making men to buy so much wrinkle cream? Many experts feel that the increase is due completely to the fact that wrinkle creams have made such tremendous strides over the past few years, making the concept of using such a cream much more attractive to men. While this is the most conventional thought process, many other theories exist as to the source of this behavior. Obviously with the potential of being able to access the male demographic, many anti aging companies are completing their due dilligence to find out exactly what is behind this surge in spending. ... that men are having a more difficult time fulfilling other aspects of the male bravado, therefore, they are seeking a better appearance to compensate. Appearently, when a man has a more difficult time providing for his family, he he feels he needs to increase other aspects of his manhood, such as physical appearance. Sound bizarre? A recent study of men between the ages of 25-55, the most impacted demographic, has concurred. Men seem to substitute economic stability and physical appearance in terms of their self confidence. This study has been a common topic of discussion by cosmeceutical companies, as they launch their 2009 advertising plan and budget. As with most retail companies, holiday sales play a crucial role in the budgets of the following year, and with terrible state of the economy, this year is certainly no different. This survey and multiple others like it have been being compiled across the nation to find out precisely what it is that is making men buy more and more anti aging products. And while the middle aged male demographic has been contributed to many anti aging types of products, it seems to be most felt in the wrinkle cream field. Many consumer wrinkle cream review sites collect subscriber lists, and most of those lists have been inundated with male subscribers over the past 8 months. An increase in over all subscriptions of course has been seen, but over 45% of new subscribers are male. That very fact reflects a major shift in the consumer base of anti wrinkle creams. If that shift along with the outcome of all of these surveys are accurate, 2009 may see a tremendous change in the direction that marketing campaigns take. Previously the male demographic was a very small percentage of the consumer base of of anti aging products, most of which were contributed to the removal of gray hair. But if these calculations hold true, men need to prepare themselves for a whole new type of advertising, aimed directly at them.
