There is a recent study by scientists from the University of Shefield, that the air in your home is actually dirtier that the air outside. This is due to the fact that modern insulation doesn't let the air flow to be constant and keeps the dirty air inside. Also, if you have an air-conditioner and you haven't looked at the state of your filter for quite a while it may be worn out. This means that the dust doesn't go into the filter and only circulates in your home.
Many cleaning experts that offer domestic cleaning services advise that you check your air filter at least once a year. It is really easy to see if it is already for changing, just put it in front of a strong light and if you can see trough it, it's time to buy a new one.
Cleaning products that contain heavy chemicals should used very rarely. Some of them contain toxic fumes and will be dangerous for people that have any allergies or suffer from astma. Nail polishes, paints, hair spray all these products release heavy fumes and you have to be careful when you use them. Be sure to always ventilate your home daily by opening windows and doors.
Air-purifiers. ...
... Well, these gadgets are very good for reducing air pollution indoors but they have their limits. Some particles that cause allergies fall to fast on the ground and the purifier can't pick them up quick enough. So, keep that in mind if you are planing on spending big money on such a device.
Avoid carpeting. Yes, carpets look really nice in your home but are actually big traps for dust, dirt and fungi. If you have carpeting in your home be sure to clean it regularly with your vacuum cleaner.
Smoking indoors. Avoid it when possible, even if you have guests encourage them to go and smoke outside. Cigarette smoke creates a thin nicotine film on your walls and it not only smells bad but is bad for your health, also looks quite disgusting.
I hope these tips are helpful enough to keep the air in your home clean and if you need a proper cleaning job by professionals call at a cleaning company that offer house cleaning in Sydney for help.
