Answering Your Most Common Electronic Cigarette Questions

If you're thinking about switching from traditional cigarettes in favor of an electronic cigarette, you probably have plenty of questions. After all, cigarettes have been your constant companion for years! Before you give all that up, you need to know exactly what you're getting into.
Fear not. The answers to these 4 questions will let you know what you can expect:
1. "Can I light up in a bar or restaurant?"
Typically, yes, because you're not actually lighting anything up!
An ecigarette doesn't burn anything. Instead, it creates a special vapor that looks, feels and tastes just like real smoke, but isn't. As a result, you won't be forced out of non-smoking areas in bars and restaurants -- meaning you can hang out with your friends, instead of smoking in the parking lot!
Another perk to this special vapor is that it's odor-free. So, you can stop popping all of those breath mints and constantly trying to get that smoke-smell out your clothes and hair.
2. "Does an electronic cigarette have nicotine in it?"
Yes, but that's about where the similarities end, ingredient-wise. ...
... There are thousands of chemicals in a standard cigarette (you probably didn’t know that). Included in that list are dozens of carcinogens (and who doesn’t know about these?).
An ecig, on the other hand, only contains just five ingredients -- propylene glycol, glycerol, water, nicotine, and a flavoring agent.
Want even better news? By itself, nicotine isn't considered a carcinogen.
3. "What about tobacco?
Aside from the lack of smoke, that's the biggest difference between a traditional cigarette and its electric counterpart. The electronic version doesn't contain any tobacco to burn. In fact, an ecig doesn’t burn anything.
4. "Can they really save me money?"
Yes!
Think about it -- when you're done puffing on a traditional cigarette, what do you do? You throw it away!
However, electronic cigarettes are totally different. You reuse the mouthpiece, and the battery is rechargeable. The only parts you'll have to worry about replacing are the cartridge and the atomizer, and even those will last you a while. Each cartridge is designed to last about as long as a pack of cigarettes, while each atomizer is designed to last through the equivalent of a few packs of cigarettes.
In addition, an ecig cartridge will cost you approximately $3.00 each. With a pack of cigarettes costing as much as $6.00 to $10.00 per pack, the average 2 pack a day smoker can save thousands of dollars a year by switching to an electronic cigarette.
Think of how much money you could save if you weren't constantly running out for more smoking supplies!
And there's one more important thing to remember. When you use an electronic cigarette, it's not subject to the same taxes that a regular cigarette is. So, you'll get to save even more money!
