Using The Right Kind Of Seat In The Office Is Necessary For Preserving Health

If you are one of the most regular people who work in a modern office in order to earn his livelihood, you have probably already received a mail describing how a man died at his desk while working for long hours and the fact that he was dead was not even discovered by his colleagues until five days later. While the validity of this story can very understandably be debated upon, it does tell us one thing very clearly – something that the medical practitioners have been telling us repeatedly over the years. Working in the office is killing us and think before you frown or snort. The late nights and early mornings in the office is literally killing us from within. Yes, it is high time that we consider our options. Do we actually want to face an untimely demise under those disturbingly bright lights above the awfully cramped cubicles we spend hours at? A survey that was recently conducted has revealed that in the last few decades the number of physically demanding jobs has reduced by almost fifty per cent and that has left people stuck at their desks for the better part of their lives. It would be foolish to assume that this system ...
... is not affecting our health in any way.
Experts opine that there are some serious problems that are actually reducing the life span of office workers. This include Carpel tunnel Syndrome or what is commonly known as CTS. If an action is repeated over and over again constantly and daily, it can cause an acute pain. In the case of office workers it happens by clicking the computer mouse repeatedly. It causes the nerves and the bones of the forearm to get swollen and cause sharp or cull pain which is constant and also numbness, tingling, etc. The noise that is caused by colleagues screaming over the phone adds to the stress of work and that can lead to a person having a nervous breakdown. There are many other ailments like eye strain, obesity and cardio vascular diseases. The constant exposure to extremely low frequency electric and magnetic fields does not help either. However, the biggest of problems is probably the back pain. It would not be wrong to claim that it is the most ignored one too. People rarely get too worried about the back pain until it gets absolutely unbearable. This is where saddle seat and saddle stool can help.
Sitting in a wring posture for more than a few hours at a stretch, sitting up too straight with the back arched and incorrect hand placement on the desk can also lead to your back experiencing great pain. The saddle seat soothes back, neck and hip pain by declining the position of the upper legs which naturally rotates the pelvis forward, thereby pushing the lower back into an anatomically correct position. Using the saddle stool or saddle chair can actually improve the user’s posture of seating altogether. Health professionals opine that this is the best kind of seating arrangement that an office can have.
