I decided to do up my home last month. I was totally bored of my home decor and did not like it at all. I felt that my home needed a breath of fresh air and so did I. So, I thought of doing up my home anew so that there is freshness not just in my home but also in my life.
I started making a list of all the things that I wish to throw as I got down to decorating my home again. I thought that making a list would make my life easier in terms of the fact that I would not have to spend useless amount of energy and money as well as time while decoration!
Second thing to do was to create a stipulated budget. Although I did not have any kind of money restraint, I still wanted to fix a budget for every room. This was because I did not want to go about spending overtly on any particular room and then regreat the hole in my pockets! So, I had it all sorted even before I began. I had decided on what all I needed to discard like those old chairs in my drawing room and what all I needed to bring in like some of the laminate furnishing.
I began with painting my house. I decided ...
... upon a nice colour scheme for every room of the house and just hired some professional painters to do a neat job! I loved the way the painters proficiently went about their jobs. For some areas I opted for texture paint while in other areas I chose a concept wall idea. It all came around pretty well with the newly polished store fixtures, cabinets and other furnishing items!
I paid extra effort and time to my kitchen space decor as I love to cook. I feel since kitchen is one area where I spend a lot of my time as cooking is one of my hobbies. I got extremely expensive texture paint in my kitchen and got rid of all the old cabinets, tables and countertops. I got modular fittings and solid surface countertops for my kitchen.
It took a bit of time but the home decor turned out to fabulous with the new paint and new accessories. I bought some nice accessories too. I got cushion covers, rugs, table covers and some paintings. I love my new home decor.
