If the newest addition to your kitchen interior is a shiny stone counter-top, then I guess that you would want to preserve its good look as long as possible, right?! These types of counter-tops are very popular among home owners, because they are easy to maintain and look amazing, at the same time.

Our London cleaning professionals say that if you have the right cleaning materials and you are familiar with the proper cleaning methods, then it will be very easy for you to clean your stone counter-top. However, if you are not so sure that you have the best information to accomplish your cleaning goals, then read on to learn two effective methods how to clean your stone counter-top.

1. The materials that you will need for the cleaning are not some expensive cleaning detergents, but a few simple ingredients that can be easily found in every kitchen, including your own. And they are the white vinegar, mild dish-washing detergent and baking soda. Using them you will not only make your new stone counter-top sparkle, but will preserve your domestic environment from the poisonous chemicals that most commercial ...
... detergents contain.

2. The first method that you can apply to clean your stone counter-top is by treating the affected areas with a mixture of vinegar or water and baking soda. Apply the paste to the stains with a clean soft rag. Then allow the area dry. Use another rag to remove the cleaning mixture. If the spots persist, repeat the previous step until you get the desired results.

3. Use the second method to get rid of ink, tobacco, wine stains, etc. Lay a paper towel soaked in hydrogen peroxide over the affected areas. Then use some heavy object to press the towel over the surface and let it sit this way for a few hours. When the time is up, your problem should be solved. To clean the remaining peroxide, just wipe the surface of your stone counter-top with a clean damp cloth.

4. Cleaning London experts advise to avoid using any detergents containing strong acids and are very abrasive as well as any bleach detergents. The last ones can destroy the stone surface, so please do not take this risk!
