When you think about confessions, fun is not the first thing that comes to mind. Aren't confessions always something bad coming to light? Is there not usually a punishment after you confessed something? Isn't confessing embarrassing? It doesn't have to be like this. Confessions can be fun.

To speak from the heart, to tell people what you have never told anyone before, can be a relief – and it can be great fun. You just have to do it right, and you have to create an atmosphere in which you feel safe enough to tell what has been stored away deeply in the restricted section of your mental storage.

With a group of good friends, you can make a game of “truth or dare” out of it and let an empty bottle decide who should be the next one to tell an unpleasant yet funny truth. Countless teenage parties have been spiced up by this funny little game, and countless adolescent mischiefs have amused millions of young people.

And if you don't like these kind of games, you can also use modern technology to share embarrassing but still very amusing stories with other people for a laugh. Thousands of people do it every ...
... day, writing about their little flaws on their blogs, drawing little web-cartoons about ridiculous moments in their own lives, or confessing their small, amusing sins in internet forums and on confession websites.

Open source comedy websites like 9gag, which are so popular and successful at the moment, would be nothing without the thousands of little real life stories made into comics and funny pictures. Join this movement now and make something creative out of whatever happened to you that would make you laugh, if only you could tell it to somebody who would not judge you for it.

Think about what happens in your everyday life that you won't ever tell your parents or your siblings but that still makes you smile when you think about it. A story of how you once told a scary story to your little sister and afterwards could not sleep yourself because you were scared? Share it! A funny picture of the ridiculous clothes you wore as a young child 15 years ago? Share it!

The internet can provide you with the necessary anonymity to confess the most embarrassing yet funny things – and if you don't dare to confess yourself yet, just have a look at all the hilarious things that happened to other people, and soon you will feel no need to hide your little flaws anymore.
