Isola Caprera. This place is filled with thick Mediterranean flora like green pines and this is where Giuseppe Garibaldi lived. Garibaldi is an Italian hero who helped in Italy's unification by leading several battles against the enemies. He built his home in Isola Caprera in 1855 and later on bought the whole island. He died in 1822 but his house is still a popular place to visit among tourists as a museum and a memorial chapel. Tours inside his house will take you back to Garibaldi's time.
