Losing one’s hair can lead one to feel many different things. Whilst hair loss may seem a natural thing for men and therefore only something that needs to be really worried about when experienced by women, even men are likely to experience many significant psychological effects when they lose their hair.

The loss of our hair can lead us to feel many different things. Not only are we likely to feel less healthy and less vital than if we had a full, thick head of hair, but as we lose our hair we usually begin to think about the end of our youth and the fact that we are now no longer as young as we once were.

Furthermore, hair loss can also change the way we look completely, changing the shape of our face and even the image we put across. As such, we may no longer be able to present the same image to the world and in turn we can often feel dissatisfied with the way we look, something that can have a significant effect on our self-esteem.

As our hair thins and finally gives up the ghost we can feel embarrassed, less confident and even simply less attractive, something that is often exacerbated by teasing and ...
... nicknames, even when done in an amiable manner. As such, losing the hair on our heads is not just something that will leave us feeling colder in winter. Instead, it is something that can leave us feeling cold inside all year round and, as such, many people who experience hair loss may find that hair transplants offer the best resolution.

Whilst we might wish to be able to make our peace with hair loss, being comfortable with such a major physical change is easier said than done and, for many people, hair surgery offers the perfect way to regain the feelings of youth, confidence and vitality that can be so integral in making us who we are.
