How To Get From Pune To Mumbai
Pune, the second largest city in the state of Maharashtra, is located at the confluence of Mula and Mutha Rivers. Founded by the valiant Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja, Pune lies at an elevation of about 560 meters from sea level and is popularly known as the 'Queen of Deccan'.
Mumbai, the capital of the state of Maharashtra, formed by a group of seven connected islands, namely Bombay Island, Parel, Mazagaon, Mahim, Colaba, Worli and Old Woman's Island, was formerly known as Bombay. In 1996 the city’s name was officially changed to Mumbai, the original Marathi name derived from the Goddess Mumba who was worshipped by the Koli fishermen who were the first inhabitants.
