Fashionable Yet Comfortable Authentic Streetwear

To the connoisseur, streetwear is more than just an outfit; for many it is actually a way of life. To the uninitiated, the name may sound a little confusing or even unfamiliar; yet there are few who have not used such clothing in some phase of their life. It is the apparel for the youth and although this distinctive style of dressing was created back in the 1970s, it is still very much in fashion. What is more, unlike the Hip-Hops it is more of an everyday clothing and younger generation use them both as casual and office/collage gear.

However, identifying a true streetwear is not easy. It is important to note that, in spite of the name, this style of clothing does not have anything to do with the streets. In fact, it was not even an urban style of dressing. According to the fashion historians, it was first introduced by the surf-board designer, Shawn Stussy, who printed his logo on T-shirts and sold them on the beaches of California. One must also note that although streetwear began as T-shirts, as it grew into a distinctive style; other genre of clothing was soon introduced into this segment. What is more, today one can also buy accessories to go with them. It is only that, Street Clothing has been designed to create certain image; unless a piece confirms to such image, it cannot be called a Streetwear. To be truthful, there can be hundreds of companies creating fashionable T-shirts and matching accessories, but not all of them produce genuine Streetwear. That is why learning to identify an authentic Street clothing is so very important for the fashion conscious youth of this era.
