.Unfortunately, the solution to every problem is not the same. If it was, we would only have to solve an issue once, and all our problems would vanish.

That also holds true when referring to industrial scales and weighing requirements. Most situations that require something to be weighed can be solved by going to a catalog of standard digital scales. One can find a wide variety of scale capacities, weight resolution, platform size and features. Different options offer the user different styles of weight display indicators and different types of communication. If the standard type of industrial scale technology, known as strain gage load cells, does not offer enough accuracy, then an alternative type can be chosen.

But a large number of weighing applications cannot be fulfilled by standard electronic scales. This is especially the case where a specialized piece of machinery needs to have the ability to acquire weight information. This may be a machine that blends a number of different ingredients. Or a device that mixes formulations based on weight. Conveyor systems may need weight information to direct items to ...
... the proper location. In all of these cases, custom scale design is required to obtain the weight. Custom scales may be needed to fit properly into the equipment design. Custom weighing applications offer the equipment manufacturer the ability to optimize the design to best meet the user needs.

Custom scale applications are not limited to operation within other equipment. There may be situations where a regular scale would otherwise be sufficient, but it does not have the ability to transfer its data or output the weight as required. Or the scale itself meets a need, but the digital indicator is not large enough. A special large format computer screen or display board may be needed. Or a special keyboard input device may be required to set the scale into the proper mode of operation.
Arlyn Scales's goal is to provide clients with superiority in equipment and service unrivaled in the scale industry. For almost 30 years Arlyn has manufactured top of the line industrial weighing equipment with an accent on quality, accuracy, advanced technology and durability.
