2. Make it short

Internet users today have the attention span of a YouTube video. Don't worry if the video is too short. Worry if it's too long. Two or three minutes is great; but ten minutes or even five minutes? That's an eternity. The age of information is upon us. People like things delivered fast. Most YouTube users don't have the time and patience to sit and watch a long video online.

3. Fill out your video description

Don't forget to add your website to the video description, or as others call it, the doobly doo. You can also add other information down there, such as a link to your web store or where viewers can buy your products.

4. Video submitters

If you want to post your video to other sites aside from YouTube, use a video submitter to save time. Sites like SENukeX, TubeMogul, Ultimate Demon and Traffic Geyser are link building software applications that allow you to use just one software to spread your content to a number of sites. Some of these video submitters aren't free, though.

5. Blog it

Embedding your video to websites will boost its visibility. Use the embed code from YouTube to publish the clip on your blog. This will also increase the view count. Google seems to consider video sources when optimizing videos.

6. Tweet it

Using your Facebook, Twitter and other social networking accounts make sharing easier. And the more followers and friends you have, the bigger the chance your video gets discovered. Post a link to the video on both your personal account and business fan pages.
