One anger management technique that never seems to fail is counting before you speak. The next time you feel the need to blow a fuse, take a deep breath and count slowly from one to twenty. Counting can be an excellent way to reduce the intensity of your anger.
When you keep yourself busy with other activities, you can diffuse your anger. Exercises such as swimming, jogging or even walking can help to bring down the heat of anger in your system. You may never be able to take control of your anger if you don't owe up to the role you may have played to cause it. If you are in a habit of placing blame on everybody but yourself when you are angry, you may never be able to control your anger. Taking the responsibility for your anger allows you to tackle it much more firmly.
