We all have printers at home and at the office but often they tend to die on us when we need them the most. It is not uncommon for you to spend all night working on an assignment and then suddenly the printer stops working in the morning and you are stuck. Your tech guy is either on a vacation or is not responsive at the hour and you need immediate Onsite printer repair. What do you do now? It’s simple, you repair it yourself. More than often printers simply malfunction due to some sort of software or hardware defect that can be solved very easily. All you need is some basic knowledge about printers and how they work.

The first thing you need, to keep the printer working at all times, is the user manual. Many of the simplest malfunctions can be understood by referencing the user manual. It includes all of the emergency signals and what it means and how you can deal with them. Good manuals come with solutions to frequent printer problems. Some problems such as paper jamming simply freeze the printer from printing any more pages, such problems are recognized and a solution to the problem is always in the manual for the ...
... users.

Printers sometimes also have some sort of code errors. Reference the code online on the brand’s website and see what the code means and what you can do to solve them. Sometimes the printers stop working due to a software defect and can work again once you uninstall the printer driver and then re-install it again giving the printer a fresh new beginning. Sometimes the printer doesn’t print the document for no indicated reason. In such cases leave the document in printing mode in the printer manager and simply restart the computer. Once you’ve reached the logon screen you should see your printer starting to print the document. There is no special reason why this happens; sometimes the system software just needs a fresh start to work properly.

Finally the most common problem is due to invalid connections. Printer USB wires, fire wire and other connections often tend to malfunction making the computer unable to detect or read the printer. In such cases you don’t need an Onsite printer repair instead you need a replacement wire. As a business you should always keep a working one in the office.
