But you have to remember that in other Countries and to less experienced users Newsgroups still hold alot of weight because of the inability to know trends or technology. Also as the years have went by there are many bots and scripts that allow people to automatically post in these newsgroups which works against you if your promoting a business in them . This is why your subject line is very important and needs to be very powerful to gain your readers attention in order to get some clicks . Some newsgroups such as Yahoo are powerful because as you join each group you can opt in to a mailing list in which group members can receive mail from other group members . This is pretty great if you join hundreds of these groups and collect the post message address from each group then mail to all these post message adressess's which posts to all members in those groups which could be thousands of targeted people. I just took a look around in Yahoo groups the other day as it has been a couple months since my last visit over ...
... there and I had a good laugh , it seems some of the groups are being so bombarded with spam that they have just given up and put porno in the actual headers of the groups. I just continued to post in that group and had a good laugh , though I dont think I will be back to post on the newsgroups but I will still continue to mail to the newsgroups post message links :P
