Only the most feareful people know how the ghost hiding inside the dark room scares them. They know inside their heart that probably ther is nothing to be afraid of in that place, but most of them find it very very difficult to just go there and remove their doubt once and for all. The paralyzing effect of the fear is just too much for their minds to overcome easily. Many of them even try to overcome the fear by trying to imagine that their fear is only an illusion. But realities do not come into existance merely by wishing, so the ghost in the closet keeps them terrified even though they try to avoed the whole issue.

The theory of evolution is a modern philosophy which stands in diametric opposition to the christian faith. Most of the christians who belong to BIble-believing churches know that ultimately their faith depends upon the foundational doctrines of creation, fall, and redemption. If there wal no creation, then ther was no fall, and hence no saviour is needed. The whole of the Chiristian faith reduces to an illusion if man was not created by God.

... subconcious : if amn is the product of mere chance, then their faith is only an illusion resting upon the imaginary foundation of creation. To most of them it is a hauntiong idea. Is their faith something real or a mere illusion. If it is only an illusion then all their spiritual vision and efforts are only in vain. there is no shortage of people who are constantly troubled by all of this, and many of them confess that their faith and spiritual life is falling apart due to this inner conflict. But what most of them are doing to solve this problem is nothing more than wishing or imagining that the problem just does not exist. But deep inside their hear they are still restless because they know that to them the problem is as real as the existance of the sun and the moon. Just as a student cannot wish away the exams which he has to face anyway, this problem cannot also be wished away the exams which he has to face anyway, this problem cannot also be wished away. One has to face it to overcome it.

Instead of facing problem and solving it in a satisfactory manner, people have invented numerous ways to avoid their fears. Some do it by claiming that Darwin never said that man has evolved from monkeys. Others are very much excited by a story about the end-time conversion of Darwin, and still others calm themselves by saying that evolution is science while creation is theology so both of them are right. But none of these answers solves the problem, and young and educated prople are still struggling with their spiritual beliefs.

The solution lies in facing the problem. We must start with the nature of man; man is a sinner, living in rebellion against God. So he is bound to attack those concept which are contrary to his sin nature. Because of this, ther have always been philosophers who have attacked the fundamentals of the Christian faith. In the last century, the theory of evolution was the greatest intellectual tool used attack against the christian faith. Numerous leading evolutionists of the last century have accepted that to them the concept of evolution was a tool which was to be used against the Christian faith.

The second thing which we should understand is that this theory rests upon numerous assumptions which have been proved to be wrong. The concept of evolution by blind chance has been refuted by the developments in thermodynamics and information sciences. Fossils were supposed to give us the best and irrefutable proof of evolution. But what has happened is just the opposite. The billions of fossils discovered in the past one century have not produced a single proof of evolution; so much so that many fossil-experts have started accepting that fossils support the idea of creation more than they support the idea of evolution.

The theory of evolution is a tool in the hands of people who would like to extablish a view of this world which has no place for God. I do not imply that all the evolutionists are atheists, but rather that the theory of evolution is a very effective tool in the hands of atheists, and also that these people have used this tool with such efficiency that they have captured the whole of the world to their side. However, evolution is still a hypothesis which cannot stand a critical scientific examination. So instead of wishing it away, it will be better for people to face this theory on scientifc/logical frounds. Once this is done, the believer will understand why evolution is not a threat to his faith. He will see for the first time that here is a theory which has no scientific proof in its favour. All the advances in science have only refuted this hypothesis.
