Every good housekeepers knows that once blood stains set in your clothes they become permanent. This means that the sooner you treat the stains the better. In this article we'll talk about some cleaning recipe and will give an answer on how to remove blood stains properly.

Many cleaning experts that offer home cleaning in Melbourne recommend that you always do a bit of research before you treat any fabric with cleaning products. You have to know the fabrics properties and which cleaning products it can withstand.

Satin sheets are a very delicate fabric and has to be treated properly to avoid any damage. For such delicate fabrics you have to use very mild stains removal agents like salt and cold water. If the stain is still fresh you will have an easy time cleaning it.

Jeans are one of the most common fabric in the world, meaning that almost everyone in the world has a pair of jeans in their closet. To remove blood stains from the cold water is a very good choice. It will remove fresh stains like they were ...
... never there. But if the stains have already set in the fabric be sure to use some more powerful cleaning agents like ammonia, white vinegar or baking soda.

Removing stains from silk can be quite a challenge. It's a well known fact that silk is easily damaged by almost every stain removal product on the market. First thing to do of course before any cleaning methods are used, is to check if your silk garment is washable. If it is use only mild cleaning agents like salt and dish washing soap. Avoid cleaning products like ammonia or one with enzymes in it because they will break the proteins in the silk and will damage it for sure.

Hydrogen peroxide is a very good cleaning agent that removes blood stains exceptionally well. But remember that if you plan on using it, it will be your only cleaning option. Do not use anything before and after it because you will damage your clothes. The peroxide should be poured undiluted onto the stains while avoiding contact with unstained surface. Let the peroxide foam a bit and when the chemical reaction stops, clean the foam and apply again. Keep applying the peroxide until the stain disappear or becomes really faint. When you're satisfied with the result wash the garment in cold water and detergent that you use normally.

I hope that these cleaning tips for blood stains help you and you will tackle them successfully. Be sure to contact the cleaners offering domestic cleaning in Melbourne if you have any troubles with cleaning at your home.
