One consistent factor of the financial world is the unpredictability that reigns constantly. Apple, known in the NASDAQ as AAPL, is a giant among other companies. Being large surely has its own advantages and especially in the case of blue-chip companies, like Apple. The Cupertino-based organization recently took what many analysts see as a steep dive, but with a very strong and well-positioned AAPL support level, it may be safe for big companies to take certain risks.

Recently Apple withdrew 39 of its products from the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool Registry (EPEAT). This program has to do with environmental certification that has been put in place so as to prevent brazen illegalities. In other to understand the gravity of this refusal of certification, irrespective of the AAPL support level, certain local authorities in California have stopped some of its agencies from purchasing Apple’s uncertified products. How Apple will cope with this development is still dependent on the events that follow, especially following 16th Jul. 2012.

This date is considered crucial because as of that time various ...
... bodies, especially those that are government-related, were already in the process of taking the same step as Apple. Fortunately, Apple has displayed remarkable ability to absorb unexpected shocks and impact from such incidents. Even though one is not in any way trying to downplay the importance of the EPEAT, it may not have much effect on the stocks of Apple. This is because the environmental certification does not apply to some of their most popular products, which include the iPad and the iPhone.

Though the hit will be much more forceful on Apple products, this means that the cost is clear for some of the most important products on the line, and of course, that includes the iconic iPad, iPod, and iPhone. It is the sale of these devices that brings in the largest chunk of Apple's sales. Removing Apple products from the shelves will not have any significant impact on the company’s revenue. Obviously, it is the mobile devices section of Apple that is much more crucial to the overall survival of the company, irrespective of the support level that is in place.

Another factor that comes into play is that individual users are the most important factor when it comes to the products that have been turned down by government institutions. Apple is a company that is well known for their environmentally conscious practices despite the recent EPEAT refusal.
