The peristaltic ones guarantee the fulfillments of all these requisites. Moreover it also presents the user with enhanced performance, superior quality, amazing accuracy and more importantly, repeatability. Unlike the slurry pumps, these pumps are made to be valve-less and seal-less. They have absolutely no mechanical parts in the main product stream. There is a tube attached to these pumps which transfer the fluid from one place to the other. The tube is not just easily available, but it is also low cost, low maintenance and can be easily cleaned too. The peristaltic pumps are based on the physiological principle of peristalsis. It refers to the concept of alternating contraction and relaxation of muscles around a tube. This process facilitates the flow of the liquid in it. Then again, these pumps can keep the issue of contamination at bay as their design does not make use of glands and valves. The pumps do not have any internal gears and thus the fluid is totally contained within the tube or hose. Therefore, the risks of bacterial growth and product clogging can be ruled out too.
