Shirdi, a small town in Maharashtra, is famous worldwide for its association with the great Indian Saint, Shirdi Sai Baba. Some trains from Shirdi to Delhi via Manmad or Kopargaon are Punjab Mail, Swarna Jayanthi, Nizamudin Kolhapur Express, Nizamudin Pune Super Express, Mangla Lakshadweep Express, Jhelum Express, Amritsar Nanded Express, Goa Express, Amritsar Dadar Express and Karnataka Express.
For the adventurous, even driving down from Shirdi to Delhi is an option. It takes an average time of 18 to 20 hours to cover the 1247 km from Shirdi to Delhi. Interstate buses are available from Shirdi to Delhi, overnight.Private A/C and non A/C buses are available from Shirdi to Delhi at a cost of Rs 1500 to Rs 2000 per head, depending on the type of bus and seat selected. Another option is to hire taxi from Shirdi to Delhi which will cost about Rs 10,000. This is not a feasible option.
