Mobile Job Hunting
Searching for jobs doesn’t need to be time consuming, tiring or a long drawn out process. With CV-Library’s latest mobile app registered jobseekers from across the UK are taking advantage of job hunting while ‘on the go’.
A recent report in the Mirror highlighted how popular mobile job hunting has become, with 50% of all job seekers searching on a mobile device. With the traditional job search methods, such as newspaper adverts, being forgotten about this new wave of mobile interest is changing the face of job hunting.
So, how do you find jobs on your mobile? Simply visit www.CV-Library.co.uk from your mobile and you will be directed straight to the mobile version. Or, download their free app from the app store and access your candidate profile directly from your phone, wherever you are. In July 2012 6,849 of these mobile apps were downloaded so it’s clearly becoming a popular way of searching for jobs.
From the mobile app you will be able to search for over 60,000 live UK vacancies in all sectors. Once you have found the right job for you simply apply directly ...
... from your mobile phone. You can also save job searches to apply to at a later date, edit your cover letter so it’s relevant to each application and email jobs to yourself or a friend. Looking for more? Set up your personal jobs-by-email and you will receive a notification, via the app, whenever a new job that includes your keywords is added to the site. This will help you stay ahead of the competition and apply for jobs before anyone else.
It’s a natural move from desktop to mobile job searching. With mobile phones becoming more and more like mini computers it makes sense that everything you tend to do on your laptop is accessible on your phone. Whether you’re updating your Facebook status, checking emails, food shopping or searching for Jobs.
Who knows where this could lead? In the future you might be able to write out and edit your entire CV straight from your mobile. It might become normal to screen candidates through ‘face talk’ functions on their mobiles. We might even see more job adverts sent out via text messages.
Wherever you prefer to look for jobs make sure you register your CV for free online first and then even if you don’t have time to hunt around employers will be able to find you.
CV-Library provides the opportunity to upload your CV and find jobs on mobile.
