1. Before starting, make sure that your vehicle has been thoroughly washed and dried. Take extra care in cleaning up the area where the deflector will be installed. Most bug shields packaging come with alcohol pad which main purpose is for wiping away the residual debris that still remain from bug splatters. Make sure that you dry the particular area where you will be attaching the deflector using a soft cloth.
2. Once your vehicle had been cleaned up well, you are ready to install your bug shield. Most of the bug shields for sale have 3M tapes that are heavy duty and double sided. You need not have to drill.
3. Next, remove the tape's backing then line up the bug deflector with your vehicle's hood. Having another person around to help you is best since you will have the ability to make sure that the shield has been properly centered. Use a marking pencil so that you will place it exactly. Once the installation is complete, you can always wash away these marks you have made.
