Leadership Skill Training A Boon To An Organization
Many must have heard that, ‘it is not what you lead; it is who you were when you were leading’. It is very easy to explain, understand and talk about good leadership but it is not that easy to fellow it. Leadership is the ability to secure desirable action from the group of follower, voluntary without use of coercion.
Leadership skill training is the ultimate act which brings to success all the potential that is in an organization and its people. Leadership is a key process in any organization, the success or failure of any organization depends on its Leadership Skill Training. The nature of leadership involves equal distribution of work among the leaders and group men, process of influence, motivating the people under him/her, exemplary, ensure justice. It also implies existence of followers. Leader is indispensible for successful functioning of the organization and attainment of its goals and objectives. It is observed that without leadership an organization is nothing but a muddle man and machines.

Broadly speaking the leadership skills training that are necessary for the organization’s leader may be grouped as:
Human skills:
The leader should have empathy, objectivity, communication skills, teaching skills, social skills.
Conceptual skills:
The leader must have an understanding of the organizational behavior, understanding of the competitors of the firm, knowing the financial status of the firm etc.
Technical skills:
The leader should have Knowledge of and competence in principles procedures and operation of the job.
Personal skill:
The leader must have intelligent, emotional maturity, personal motivation, integrity, flexibility of mind etc.
In sum the leader must have dynamic personality, intellectual attainment, amiable disposition, unassuming temperament, and knowledge of how to deal with his follower. Importance of Leadership Skills Training in an organization cannot be denied. People working in an organization need leader who would be instrumental in guiding the efforts of group of workers to achieve goals and objectives of both individual themselves and the organization. A good leader motivates his subordinate, creates confidence and increases the moral of the workers. Leadership Skills transforms potential into reality, it is the act which brings to success all the potential that is in an organization and its people.
