Food is a really important part of our lives. Through food one can express oneself in the most unique ways possible. One can create new dishes by experimentation. The food one makes stands for one’s way of thinking, one’s idea of balance, one’s idea of harmony and one’s idea of taste. Food thus becomes a product and expression that’s extremely personal.

The food one makes is also determined by the way one cooks. The ways of cooking are many. And the recipes that one adopts depend on the resources one has at one’s disposal in the kitchen space. The resources constitute how a kitchen space is going to look. A kitchen space, therefore, indirectly affects the kind of food that one makes. The effect of a kitchen space would either be positive or negative on the kind of food one makes. It need not be a mish-mash of several colors but it needs to have a fine balance of different colors that blend together and complement each other. Apart from the external décor of the kitchen which include the wall colors and the laminate colors etc., one needs to ensure that the kitchen space is clutter free and is neat. Neatness makes for a very desirable condition for working. One needs to make sure that kitchen space is hygienic and does not feel stale. The space has to be rid of all that’s old and all that’s unusable- the old utensils, the old equipment etc. If your fridge is in the kitchen too, you need to make sure it is clean at all times.
