Bed bugs are pesky and resilient little parasitic insects that have been around for thousands of years. During the 1920's and 1930's the threat of beg bugs grew as they continued to multiply through the Great Depression. It was thought that we knew how to get rid of bed bug, but after the issue was dealt with as best we knew how in the 1940's, the beg bugs came back. These parasites are easily transported and hard to detect, unless they actually bite you. Bed bugs can be spread by animals, friendly or wild, transported by human visitors, and/or by ourselves, traveling to places having already been infected. Since the late 1980's and/or mid 1990's, bed bugs have been on the rise and have begun to infest not only cities in large developing nations, but also in the grandest cities in the most developed of countries like Europe, the UK and US. 20 years have come to pass since the rise of this modern parasite, and it seems we still do not know how to get rid of bed bug. Bed bugs are nocturnal, live in dark and often sticky places, coming out only at night to feed. They can be hard to extinguish, but once their presence is known, ...
... it is fairly easy to prevent further damage from being done - at least as far as further bites and home infestation. Currently pest control companies like Orkin recommend highly-controlled, professional use of pesticides and, importantly, other comprehensive methods such as pillow, mattress and sofa covers, frequent washing of clothes including multiple-drying sessions, and bed-bug steamers. It's actually not recommended by professionals that you pursue the use of bed-bug-bombing techniques. These approaches in fact have the potential to intensify the issue! Bed bugs feed roughly once every five to ten days but can live for up to eighteen months without feeding! This is why it's important to secure the issue immediately with the proper methods and advise of a seasoned pest-control expert, instead of simply "bug-bombing" your home, sending the critters hiding for months where they will continue to multiply under cover of darkness.June has bee studying entomology for the previous 6 years and often discuss ways to kill bed bugs and additional pests that have a knack of entering the worst locations to locate.
