High Search Engine Rankings - You Have To Earn Them!
The ongoing financial panic and crisis continues to concern and frighten people from all walks of life. There will be a bail out, in all likelihood, to stave off economic catastrophe at least for awhile. So, what does this have to do with High Search Engine Rankings and Internet Marketing?
After the dust settles and most breathe a sigh of relief that the world as we know it isn't really coming to an end, the blame game will ensue. The conservatives will blame the liberals, the liberals will blame the conservatives and we will be back to posturing and the endless, mindless Washington politics that get us nowhere.
In serious business, and in SEO in particular, there can be no blame game. Getting to the first page of Google for meaningful, competitive keywords cannot be achieved without actually earning it. You can't get there with just a big wallet or other people's money. You can't hope that it will happen. You can't perform magic tricks or try to trick the search engines that you really have substance. No, you have to earn it.
Earning it means that Google Rankings are really a pretty accurate meritocracy ...
... that ranks those websites for the greatest relevance, not by dollars spent, but rather by the commitments and actions that produce meaningful value for the individual's keyword search.
This must be done with a strong commitment to indexing GREAT CONTENT on the website. Making certain that the search engines really understand what the content is all about. Its also about continually updating this content and publishing additional relevant content throughout the web. Its about becoming popular by gaining the attention and notoriety of those reading your content, bookmarking it and sharing the bookmarks with the social bookmarking community. Its about showing off your cool stuff on the social media and developing a following, even virally.
So while those in Washington and surely your state and city governments play politics with your tax dollars, remember that they aren't really committing to anything but themselves however, you have complete control of your world online.
Got commitment?
