The myths of weight loss and meat

There is a myth out there that says meat is bad for your health, that it will raise your cholesterol. Look, for the most part that is true, especially with beef that you buy in your supermarket. But the supermarkets and mass production has given beef a bad name. You see, most of the beef that you buy are all grain fed beef; cows need to be fed with grass. Grass is what cows have been feeding on naturally all their lives, before mass production got in the way. Real beef is actually a highly nutritious meal, it has a natural source of omega 3, has less saturated fat, full of beta carotene, and has around 400% more vitamins a and e than grain fed beef. Real grass fed beef is also safer for your health, is virtually gets rid of the chances of mad cow disease, and it is actually said that grass fed beef will reduce your cholesterol. Okay so enough about beef what about other sources of protein like eggs?

Eggs are also another protein that has gotten a bad wrap. That is mostly because they are high in fat and people eat a lot of them. But if you eat eggs in moderation, ...
... one whole egg has a ton of great nutritional value. Did you know that eggs have most of your highly recognized vitamins with the exception of vitamin C? Eggs provide a great source of vitamin B's, vitamin A, which is a fat soluble, and it provides a good amount of vitamin D, as well as vitamin E. The egg also provides most the minerals that your body needs to be in good health. So maybe it is time to take another look at the egg, it actually can cause weight loss. See the egg white is hard for your body to digest, thus making your body work harder and spend more energy digesting it and burning more calories. Eggs also produce more of the hormone called glucagons, which increases blood sugar, which increases the fat burning process.

There are many meats out there that are healthy, so as long as you are eating everything in moderation and have a good workout plan, you will not have to worry about gaining weight or your health. Here are a couple other meats you can eat that are good for your health, turkey and fish.
