Kathmandu is the city that is packed with various historical highlights that leave you speechless. It is one of the most visited cities of the world.

We probably fall short of words when it comes to describing the charm of the magnificent capital of Nepal. It may come as a cliché to you but Kathmandu is rightly known as the “Gateway of Mount Everest” and “The Gateway to Nepal”. If you want to feel the essence of this unique city, you would have to book airline tickets to Kathmandu so that you can indulge yourself in a guilty pleasure.

Begin your tour to the city with the Durbar Square. It has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is crammed with temples and palaces. Make your way to the emblem of Swayambhunath Stupa that is home to many temples, shrines and monasteries in Tibet. It is considered to be a milestone for Buddhists all over the world.

Make sure that you don’t miss visiting the temples such as Pashupatinath Temple, Changu Narayan Temple and Boudhanath Stupa.
