Kodaikanal, a famous tourist spot for tourists as well as for honeymooners, is located in the Palani Hill range in the state of Tamil Nadu. Flights are available from Bangalore to Coimbatore and from Coimbatore one can take cabs to reach Kodaikanal. Taxis charge Rs. 4000/- to reach Kodaikanal from Coimbatore.
If you have your own vehicle it takes approximately 8 hours and 30 minutes for the journey depending on the vehicle. The shortest route is by NH-7 from Bangalore through Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Dindigul to reach Kodaikanal. The road is also very good. Cabs can also be hired to cover this distance and they charge depending on the vehicle hired and the facilities.
There are a lot of accommodation facilities available for the guests. These include luxury hotels, medium luxury hotels and budget hotels. Budget hotels are available at a cheap rate with all possible comforts.
