Advantages Of Using Water Under Floor Heating Devices
Imagine using heated water to continuously provide heat to a room. Think it’s impossible? Now, the use of water heating systems has become widely popular and has become one of the best alternatives to radiators. Water under floor heating is not new; in fact it has been used more than 2000 years ago by the Romans. They used a lighted furnace to heat the water underneath the ground. The water is then circulated through the different channels found beneath the city. Today, we don’t need to make water pass through specially made channels; in fact we can make it using pipes.
There are two types of under floor heating; one method is dry which is known as the electrical under floor heating. The other method is the wet method or the water under floor heating. It is considered wet since water is used to heat an entire room. Some of the advantages of using this method include:
Efficient Heat Distribution
Compared to electric under floor heating, water heating systems provide even heat distribution all throughout the room. The problem with electric heating system is that some devices would heat the room effectively ...
... but leave an unexplainable cold floor. Water heating systems gently warms the room and as long as the water beneath the floor is hot, the room is heated as well. This means that the owner can switch off the heating device and turn it on once the water feels colder. With hydro heating systems, you effectively heat a room while keeping costs relatively low.
Visual Benefits
Water heating systems, may require a lot more work but aesthetically speaking, this is the more preferred method of heating a room. You can forget about your old radiator that occupies that corner in your room, which could have been a free space to put other important things. With under floor heating devices, everything is hidden since all the pipes will be installed under the flooring. You can enjoy a well heated room without bothering to lose much needed space. Since the entire heating system is located under the floors, you can forget about your noisy radiator that usually clunks, which usually happens for radiators that have been used for a long time.
Perfect for a modern home
A room radiator gives of an old school vibe which is not so ideal especially if your home has a modern theme to it. Water heaters are installed under the floor, completely hidden so you can concentrate on designing your home with your theme of choice without the need to worry about where to place that radiator.
