Yes kids in the kitchen are a new after school program. There are schools that are offering healthy cooking classes along with sharing nutrition information and providing sufficient time for homework.

Kids always enjoy things that they are made to do themselves, and cooking is something that can always excite anyone who loves eating. Kids are fond of all types of delicacies and enjoy eating their favorite food items. Making them learn to cook help them to love what they eat and enjoy it as well. With these interactive cooking classes kids get a friendly environment in which they not only learn but make friends and spend some good time as well. Making kids join such lessons always help them take interest in what they are doing and as it is said that it is the right age for them to learn new things and keep it with them forever.
