In the corporate calendar there are several events in a year. There are product launches, team building exercises, contests and different game shows, awards ceremonies and corporate parties. Dick as the young executive was wondering how to go about this in the current business year. There is strict instruction from the higher management that the events should be successful and reap visible benefits. There are a lot of expenses as well as time and running around involved in organizing these events. Above all each of these events are organized for a purpose and are not mere social gatherings. So, the events should in no way become ‘tick mark exercises’. Rather the higher management wants to get the maximum leverage from each of these events. In a circular given by the higher authority, the objectives and the desired outcomes of each of these events have been explicitly mentioned.

The event should have an entertainment agenda to ensure adequate attendance as well as be sufficiently motivating. May be, Dick needs to hire a motivational speaker for the event.

The company has offices spread over several states and cities in the U.S. like the Las Vegas, Orlando and Atlanta. So, Dick made a quick decision that he needs to find someone who can cater to all the places. So, he needed somebody who can serve as the corporate entertainer Las Vegas, motivational speaker Orlando as well as corporate motivator Atlanta. Based on the instructions of the senior management, he jotted down some qualities of the prospective corporate entertainer.

Firstly, the person should be adequately experienced. Last year he remembers the corporate entertainer Las Vegas was a novice and had no clue on how to keep the audience entertained. Lastly they put up a cultural even to manage the commotion. Only an experienced person who had the experience of conducting several events will be in a position to tactfully manage the last minute hitches and deliver rocking performance.

Thirdly, the person should be versatile to understand the events in correct perspective. For example, playing an emcee in an award ceremony is very different from conducting a team building exercise.

Besides all these the person should be able to deliver rock star like performance to enthrall the audience and get them involved. He should be like the Pied Piper, so that the audience can simply not escape the magic. Only when the target audience is engaged and entertained, will the event be memorable and mission accomplished.

Dick was hell bent to find one such person who is a rock star entertainer. He was sure to find one now that he has the criteria clear in his mind.
