Kodaikanal, one of the most popular hill stations in South India is situated in the state of Tamil Nadu. It draws a lot of tourists every year for its fine weather and picturesque settings. Tourists from the nearby states of Karnataka and Kerala find it a suitable holiday destination due to its proximity from these states. Nagarcoil Express and Tuticorin Express are the two train services that connect Bangalore with Kodaikanal. The train service is available only up to the train station at Kodai road from where one will have to travel by bus or taxi for 2 hours to reach Kodaikanal city. Trains to Kodaikanal namely Nagarcoil Express and Tuticorin Express depart from2 stations in Bangalore, Bangaloe city Junction and Krishnarajapuram. The Nagarcoil Express services are available only on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. But there are regular train services to Kodaikanal from Bangalore provided by theTuticorin Express on a daily basis. The travelling time is about 9 to 10 hours.
