Dry Carpet Cleaning- Your Go To Method

Most people consider carpet cleaning to be a major pain and try and avoid it for as long as possible. This however only results in making the carpet look old before its time and also makes it the perfect breeding ground for invisible mites and bacteria. If you want your carpet to look beautiful and last long, you should try a fuss free method of cleaning it. This method is usually used for cleaning expensive, fine fiber carpets that get spoilt or damaged easily.
You can try Dry Carpet Cleaning that involves cleaning carpets without the help of a liquid detergent or cleaning liquid. This way there is no retention of moisture in the carpet after cleaning is completed. This method of carpet cleaning uses a powder based cleaning agent or a solvent instead of a liquid one. The solvent can either be sprinkled onto the carpet or can be sprayed depending on the brand. Once the solvent has been spread all over the carpet, it is left for an hour or so. The solvent or cleaning agent attracts dirt. This dirt on contact with the solvent dissolves in it, so that when ...
... the carpet is vacuumed, all the dissolved dirt is easily removed.
Some important things to note here are:
The carpet should be absolutely dry before you start cleaning it, otherwise the cleaning solvent won’t work. If any liquid has been spilt on it, first absorb it by using a kitchen towel or cotton wool. If there is a stain on the carpet, the best thing to do would be to remove the stain before spraying the solvent otherwise there is a chance of the stain dissolving again.
Another thing to keep in mind is that if there is any solid dirt on the carpet, it should be removed manually before spraying or sprinkling the solvent. Any kind of solid residue should be removed completely for if it comes in contact with the cleaning agent, it might dissolve again and you’ll have to start all over again.
Thirdly, once you sprinkle or spray the solvent onto the carpet, use a brush or a vibrating machine to work the cleaning agent into the carpet, making sure you reach all the corners. While a brush is cheaper to purchase, a vibrating machine requires less effort and you can rent it at cheap rates from a local hardware shop.
If cleaning a carpet is really not your cup of tea, you can even hire carpet cleaning services. Just call your carpet retailer and find out their charges for dry cleaning carpets. However, if this option costs more than your budget, there is nothing to worry about. You can find out about the Best Carpet Cleaners from your carpet retailer or manufacturer and use that method and product to clean your carpet at home.
While dry carpet cleaning is safer than cleaning with liquids, it is best to ask the retailer for the best way to clean your particular carpet so that you don’t end up damaging the carpet.
