Travelling abroad can be a pain when you have to go from one city to the next and staying in all kinds of different hotels. It’s hard to get consistency with your accommodation when you have to do all of that, and the only way out of it is to book your stay at the same hotel chain the whole way through. At least then you can get accustomed to the way they do things and each time you have move on to the next city, you can feel comfortable knowing what to expect when you arrive. Even if you have to travel from one country to the next, like Europe for example, you would have to find places to stay that are adequate or you could end up in some slummy hotel where it’s probably not even safe to put your bags on the ground.

Europe is nowhere near that bad thankfully, and you even have a variety of hotel chains to choose from. Local travel from city to city would be ideal for places like hotelurban.com.au where they have a branch in each of the three major cities in Australia. You could probably find one or two of the smaller hotel chains that offer the same quality service ...
... and lodging across the board. When you are away on business and you need to have consistency throughout your trip then staying at the same hotel for each city makes sense. It means that when you get up to your room and you need to send off a few mails before retiring for the evening, then at least you don’t have to worry about searching for a working area because there was one at the previous hotel. If you are partial to a particular type of food or dish that they prepared at the other hotels, then at least you can order it again and still expect the same thing. When you have to travel abroad and you have never been to the country before, then you will essentially need to find something without actually knowing what it is that you are getting. Small once of places might be good to a degree but the accommodation won’t necessarily be up to the standard that you are expecting. This is particularly true for countries that as well developed in terms of their infrastructure.

If you do go to one of those countries, then at least you can rely on the bigger names to get you through the holiday without having to worry about substandard accommodation.
