Why Do Plane Ticket Prices Differ
While you might be very successful in finding international airfare, let’s say cheapest flights to Europe or another continent, do you ever wonder why the flight prices are so different in a day, a week or even a month?
The reality is that you might be finding very different flight rates. Of course, most of us understand that the greatest difference in price would be between coach or economy and business and/ or first class tickets. Depending on the destination, you may be paying around $500 for a coach service class ticket versus $5000 or $10000 per ticket in business or first class. What you get for the money? Well, first of all you get the highest service before, during and after flight. You will be the first one to be let on and off the plane, unlimited drinks (including alcoholic) and snacks during the flight. The flight attendants will offer you a much wider and better quality meals during the flights. The business class seats on a plane are bigger and you will have a lot more space. One thing you might want to be cautious about is the aircraft type. Not every aircraft has newer seats, and therefore, sometimes ...
... it is not worth the money to pay for an inch or 2 wider seats, while other aircrafts would have seats that would even transform into beds. In addition, it might not be worth upgrading to or buying business or first class ticket for short domestic flight as you would not really get to enjoy the actual luxury of it as much as you would on a long haul or transoceanic flight. So spend money wisely.
As for coach or economy class tickets, you may spend $500 or $1,500 per flight ticket and still be sitting next to each other. This happens because airlines do not (there are couple exceptions, when you can “buy” more space in coach class) differentiate between the coach class seats. The difference in price exists because there are maybe 10 different so called coach service classes. They differ by rules, restrictions or flexibility of a ticket, advance purchase, sales, etc. Depending on a destination, you might consider buying a flight ticket in advance or the last minute. If you’re trying to find cheapest flights to Europe or get any other destination ticket that would involve International Airfare , especially flying oversees, it is very likely that you will find best flight deals way in advance, like a month or two prior to the flight. However, if you’re looking for the US domestic flights, airlines would often offer last minute flight deals to the less popular destinations or the flights that are not oversold.
So be sure to check the airfares, research the travel market before you buy flight tickets, so you know if you’re getting a good deal.
