Viral definition has evolved from something we turn away from to something people are so eager to spread. Viral actually means so much more different now that some kids probably didn’t even know it originally meant spreading a virus that causes disease.

These days, viral means, in tech speak, creating content, whether in writing or images or videos that other people love to the point that they share it to other people. These people in turn share it to other people until it becomes an internet phenomenon. Something usually has become viral when you notice 3 or more people on your Facebook friends or Twitter have posted about it or it has hit millions of views on YouTube.

We just wonder what happens when an internet geek goes to a doctor and the doctor tells him that his runny nose is just something viral. But that’s another story for a different department.
