In the upper basin to the south there are a number of marshy headwaters while the middle basin features the widening river that forms lakes Harney, Jessup, Monroe and George. Due to the water in these regions most bass fish will stick close to cover in shallow water. So noisy lures are most effective and by making multiple casts into the same spot you can quickly get the attention of some big bass fish.
