If you're like me you're bored. Bored of all the mundane products. Heck I'm even bored of my iPhone. So today I put my phone in a drawer and started a quest. My quest is to find the best gadgets and the cool stuff that's out there. The kind of products that I've never heard of... never knew existed.

Well let me tell you. There are three keys to finding cool stuff:

1) Stay away from the mall.

You simply won't find anything good there. Malls are built for the masses and the masses do not buy the best gadgets. They buy the stuff that everyone else has and this is boring.

... smile or make you laugh. I've found that these gadgets are hiding on the most obscure websites and in the tiniest boutiques. Every big city in the US has a slew of boutique stores that sell cool stuff. Check out the internet... it will lead you to these obscure stores.

3) Read Blogs

I know, you didn't think there would be extra reading. But in order to find cool stuff you need to read about it from cool people. Today, the bloggers are the ones who are announcing the newest and best gadgets. The bloggers are connecting people to the best stores where the cool stuff hangs out. Now you need to find those bloggers, follow them on twitter and be the first one to read about products before they are even released.

If you're bored, it's your own fault. There are billions of articles to read online about the newest stuff and even the products that are in concept phase. These are things that aren't even built yet but are simply the dreamy vision of crazy men and women in R&D labs around the world.

Over the next decade we will see some of the most amazing things invented. But for now you can still find the best gadgets out there if you take a little time and do a little homework.

With a few creative keystrokes you'll find what you're looking for and you'll be the gift-giving hero you always wanted to be The Internet has become the world's retail store and it is perfect for finding unusual gifts.
