Say for example: threats due to market forces. This can be easily monitored and then necessary actions can be taken. Owner can change the business model according to market conditions. Certain services and products can be modified or changed according to consumer demands. At the same time, it is also necessary to keep proper track of client opinions to learn about their attitudes and thinking.

It can so happen ...
... that some major incident occurred which will surely lead to downfall of the venture. What will happen then? How to save the business from such critical scenarios?

To protect business from worst circumstances, two effective tools are available: Business continuity and disaster recovery.

Any entrepreneur thinking of using technology in business, particularly for operational purpose, then it is essential to have a proper disaster recovery plan (DCP). It is the procedure to recover technical systems, data, as well applications up to a certain level which helps to continue with the business operation.

business continuity plan (BCP) is very similar to the above one. However, there are some differences. BCP not only deals with technological hazards but a lot more than that. It will cover every major aspect of the business, right from desk and office space, to communications, operations, incident response, public relations, and staff safety.

For better support and safety, BCP is the preferred choice. But then, the insurance charges are also on the higher side when compared to DCP.
